News/Happenings:
Can You See Your
Future?
The Southern Alleghenies Workforce Investment Board has developed an
interactive career CD entitled, "Can You See Your Future?", for
distribution through youth staff in the CareerLink System.
Developers worked with members of the Youth Council to share
information and collect suggestions for the creation of a useful career
development tool to assist youth. The CD utilizes animated spider
characters to guide users in navigating the CD and provides helpful
internet sites. Topics covered are: Career Exploration,
Educational Opportunities, Job Search, Employer Expectations, and
Employee Expectations.
